Location Recce

Risk Assessment
During the pre-production stage we had a problems and difficulties. In comparison to our prelim task we went into a lot more depth and it was a lot harder to manage and organise all our work, we also had to go back over work and adapt it many times due to lack of information.
We found that we had the most problems with the treatment and the storyboard due to the fact that had made several mistakes and had to keep going back to change it because we had chosen the wrong shots or had the scenes in the wrong order. We also had to add more scenes and shots to the list because it wasn’t long enough so the film wouldn’t last for the two minute opening sequence. Also with the storyboard we didn’t add in enough detail about each shot and such as what sort of sound it would be and the type of shot it would be and how long it would last. Due to this happening we had to spend an extra lesson on the storyboard and rearrange the way in things were shot and the scene order.
As we were typing up the risk assessment we had to write one for all of the locations that were in the shots and we had to think of everything that could cause a hazard to the actors. We had to find everything that could possibly cause trouble and we had to find the solution to them such as the flimsy banister on the top floor of the flat, so our solution to that was to keep as far away from it as possible and if we were near it that we shouldn’t apply any pressure to it.
We had to post all of our work to do with our production on our blog. I tried to keep this as up to date as possible with our group work and also our independent work about the genre we have picked, but also the reasons why we chose to do it. Throughout the project I feel that the group has worked well together with sharing the work over the group so one person isn’t doing all the work and one person doing nothing. We also had a few disagreements about things like the name of the film and what the actual storyline would be like and what the plot would be like.
We first decided in the first few opening minutes for the three girls who move into the flat to be murdered by the hooded man but we decided to change that plot because if we were to carry on making the film there would be no plot for the rest of the film. We kept the three girls moving into the flat but changed them getting murdered to them finding out a history about the flat they have just moved into. The day they move in they realise that they are being watched from the flat grounds by a man who has his face covered by his hood.
